Answer
Buying a computer with bad credit is much easy than it sounds. Computers have become so cheap that people are buying new ones all of the time. You can purchase bare bone systems for as little as $299. Don't let the "bare bone" terminology scare you. many of these systems can handle just about anything you need them to do other than run the most advance games or handle video and graphic editing.
If $299 is still to much or you are looking for a higher end system, you can start by searching online for companies that offer credit to people with bad credit or no credit. There are many of them out there. Some may ask for a small deposit due before they ship your computer. This deposit helps off-set the cost if you decide to take the computer and not pay them. Some will allow you purchase without a deposit, but these systems tend to be base systems that are inexpensive to build. This offers less risk to the online lender in case of default.
You can also attempt to contact local computer merchants in the area to see if they have in-house financing and would be willing to sell you a computer if you make payments. Many retailers have overstock that may be last years models that they would be happy to sell to you if you are willing to make payments, since it was only collecting dust in the stock room.
Another option can be found online at auction sites such as www.ebay.com. Before making the bid, contact the seller to see if they would be willing to take payments if you offered a higher price. This works a lot better with individuals auction their older computers online than it does with online merchants that have an ebay account.
Lastly, ask around! You would be surprised how many people have extra computers and monitors. Typically when people upgrade their computers, they just take up space, especially monitors. Those old CRT monitors work just fine, but many people have upgraded to flat panels. They can't just throw the monitor away! So ask. If no one you know has one, try garage sales.
